Nadars, wake up! Let us unite and win our rights.
Nadars Decide Elections — But Where Is Our Political Power?
Soon, legislative assembly elections will be held in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
In both states, the Nadar voter base is astonishingly large.
The information we recently gathered is truly impressive — but also shocking and infuriating.
For centuries, Nadars were suppressed by foreign, neighbouring, and local rulers. Because of this, many Nadars have forgotten their own strength.
Many have also forgotten the history of how Nadars once ruled this land as kings.
Today, Nadars are the decisive voters in 156 constituencies in Tamil Nadu and 57 constituencies in Kerala.
Yet Nadars have almost no representation in the Assemblies.
We must break this political failure and achieve a great political victory.
A community that once ruled for millennia as kings should never remain politically powerless.
Kerala
Nadars constitute 8% of Kerala's population.
Out of 140 assembly constituencies:
- Nadars are the decisive force in 57 constituencies.
- They form an absolute majority in 14 constituencies.
By strength and numbers, at least 30 to 40 legislators should represent the Nadar community.
But today, only 2 Nadars sit in the Assembly.

Tamil Nadu
The situation in Tamil Nadu is no different. Nadars in Tamil Nadu have been betrayed by all political parties and denied their rightful political power.
Out of 234 assembly constituencies:
- Nadars are the decisive force in 156 constituencies — no other community has such influence.
- They form an absolute majority in 22 constituencies.
By strength and numbers, at least 60 to 70 legislators should represent the Nadar community.
But today, only 15 Nadars sit in the Assembly.

Historical reminder
The royal dynasty of Nadars once ruled entire South India as Chera, Chola, and Pandiya kings.
This was officially announced on 16.11.2012 by the then Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. Evidence
Yet this historic royal lineage has been politically weakened in Kerala and Tamil Nadu through conspiracies by invaders.
Political parties in both states continue to mislead and deceive the Nadar community.
Conclusion
History gave us a great legacy.
Numbers give us great strength.
Now it is our duty to reclaim our rightful political power.
If Nadars stand united, no political force can ignore us.
If we remain silent, others will continue to decide our future.
Our numbers are strong.
Our time has come.
Rise, Nadars.
Call to action
From now on, we must fight for our political rights.
No one will hand our rights to us.
We must demand that political parties provide proportionate political representation for Nadars.
If they fail, we must organise and struggle to claim our rightful representation.
Thank you.
